Purchases and Subscriptions
There are two ways to pay for tests in BrowserMob:
- Pay for credits “on-demand”
- Purchase an annual “subscription” to BrowserMob
In BrowserMob, everything is costs credits. A load test will require a certain number of credits to be scheduled. The cost of these credits is based on your status as a BrowserMob subscriber: subscribers pay less for credits.
Paying for credits “on-demand”
After you schedule a test, BrowserMob will determine if there is an outstanding balance due. If your account already has enough credits, then the test will be scheduled immediately and you will not be prompted to do anything.
However, if your account does not have enough credits, you will be notified that you need to purchase additional credits before the test can be scheduled. You can do so by navigating to My Account -> Manage Credits -> Purchase Additional Credits. There you will see various pre-paid packages you can purchase:
Once the payment is complete, the credits will be added to your account. You may then go schedule your test to run and the credits will be deducted from your account. If you decide to cancel/delete the test before it begins the STAGING process (15 minutes before start time), you are eligible to receive all of your credits back to your account.
Subscribing to BrowserMob
BrowserMob does support an annual subscription model. By committing to pay the yearly subscription fee, you become eligible for several important benefits, including longer credit expiration times, priority support, reduced fees for credits, and a large initial balance of credits.
If you are interested in a subscription, navigate to the Manage Credits section of the site and select the subscription option. You’ll then see the follow page:
Click on the Amazon payments button to initiate the payment process. Once the payment has been successfully completed and verified, your account will be marked as a subscriber and your credit balance will now reflect the purchase you just made. From this point on, any additional purchases you make will be available at a reduced cost.
Because this is a subscription, BrowserMob will contact you when your annual subscription plan is almost up to see if you’d like to renew your plan. If you choose not to renew your subscription, your account will automatically revert to the normal pay-as-you-go rates and support level.
Credit Expiration
Credits in BrowserMob will expire if they remain unused for a specific period of time. Please be sure to look at your credit balance for all of your purchases to make sure you use your credits before they expire. Normally credits expire 3 months from the time of purchase. However, BrowserMob subscribers keep their credits active and available for use for as long as their are an active subscriber of the service.
