For many years, Customers have come to us and have asked to load test everything from Active X controls, Java applets, Flash, you name it. Until recently though, this was always a monumental and sometimes impossible task to undertake with emulated browsers.

As you may have seen, we announced some exciting news today: Neustar’s BrowserMob Load Testing and FriendRunner have joined forces. With these platforms combined, developers will be better able to test Facebook applications and ensure they are ready for viral deployment before launching them publicly to the Facebook community.

So why did we form this relationship? Well, Facebook’s unique architecture makes it more challenging to perform traditional load testing. However, with this solution, application developers can run load tests easily and efficiently, all while staying within budget.

We get a lot of customer requests about Flash automation, Selenium, and BrowserMob. Because our load testing and website monitoring services uses real browsers, complete with Flash 10, we can do things no one else can do, like run a load test with hundreds of Flash runtime environments driving traffic on your site.

However, while our infrastructure allows for extremely unique Flash testing support, it’s not perfectly streamlined (yet). While we are hard at work on making Flash support for Selenium and BrowserMob significantly better, at this time some work is required by Selenium users before you can get started.
